What This Means for Your Career

The people being displaced aren’t the ones whose jobs involve judgment, relationship-building, and complex problem-solving. They’re the ones whose work is pattern-based, repetitive, and rule-driven—the stuff many of us didn’t enjoy anyway.
The people who are thriving are learning to become “AI orchestrators”—humans who understand how to set direction for digital employees, interpret their outputs, handle the exceptions, and bring the uniquely human elements that no algorithm can replicate.
Empathy. Creativity. Ethical reasoning. Inspiration. Trust.
An AI agent can execute a perfect marketing campaign based on data. It cannot feel what your customer is feeling. It cannot inspire a team to push through impossible odds. It cannot look at a moral dilemma and choose the harder right over the easier wrong.
That’s still your job. That might always be your job.
